the doctor is in…

There was a time when Dr.Martens AirWair was all the rage, it was the teeners version of Louis Vuitton, Channel n Gucci.Paired with a nicely fitted Levis or Guess jeans folded a little way up and boom! Perfect look. I was not one of those who donned docs, but I had one of those hi-cut leather boots I’d wear w my jeans or shorts.15 short years later, the doctor became vibrant than he ever was, it’s safe to say, we are on the same page.

Chronicling the Stanatics

–reposted from my other blog wikkidwizdumb.blogspot.com–

While it may be easy to see why men would want her, I at first found it a bit odd that Stana Katic’s fanbase who ship her shamelessly are women. Thinking aloud, I think I may have cracked the case. Sure, I noticed her as the sexy badass cop in Castle, whom with the unusual name lead me into googling her. And true fangirls know what happened next.

I believe I became a bonafide Stanatic when I saw the Paley interview with Chuck the Movie Guy where she was asked about how great it is to play a strong female lead. Her reply floored me, the woman is a wise crack with some spice! To those unfamiliar with it, she said ‘i cant imagine a woman being otherwise’ and that’s all it took to earn her another dedicated fan. That’s my story and i’m sure other fans has their turning points.

By then, it became clear that there is more to this woman than her heaps of adoring female followers can readily give out in a hit. Not to put her in the proverbial pedestal, but Stana could most probably be the model of a perfect woman.
we’ve been saying that for a long time yet we’ve not established the deep seeted reasons why she is so. At 5’9”, a svelte physique and a face that can have any man or woman’s jaw drop, she’s created to physical perfection. and if we must get into detail, she’s got an amazing bone structure, expressive big green beautiful eyes and a luscious pair of lips.

needless to say, she is extremely gorgeous. she’s smoking hot but definitely not bitchy. stana has a level of absolute desirability that’s almost geisha-like yet maintains a respectable stance. women in general have an innate desire to be desired and to be respected enough not to be taken advantage of.

Stana’s manner of speaking indicates a calm, gentle, sweet and caring lady which she balances with her knowledge and skill in martial arts and hobbies like archery and falconry. she can be ultra feminine that lends anyone near her to be willing to give her care and attention but is independent and tough enough by all means to take care of herself. after all, nobody would want to mess with a girl who can draw a smiley face around someone’s neck with a stilleto. yes, she’s bad ass in so many ways and that’s about as sexy as sexy can be. what woman wouldn’t want to be like that?

Her lips may be one perfect attribute, it becomes even more so when she opens it to speak, as it exhibits that behind the gorgeous face, on top of her well toned shoulders is a good head. as any fan would have stumbled upon, Stana graduated at the top 10 of a class of 700. While internet info leaves a bit of doubt, it is no doubt that she is in fact a brainiac as evident in interviews and interviewer raves. ladies, we have here, beauty and brains with long legs. again, what woman does not aspire to be significantly intelligent and saucy.

Stana is passionate about her craft and displays a great deal of energy in doing great in whatever she does. she has a constant need to challenge herself and explore different things to expand her abilities. women, though proven in many ways and means are not the weaker of the sexes have to keep moving on to prove the world wrong.
judging from her proficiency with languages and the way she eloquently pronounces every word or name she utters shows huge respect for cultures. she is well rounded and open minded. this aspect of her personality does her well in her display of professionalism. her ways may be intimidating yet she manages to be naturally adorable. there seems to be no one who can resist her charm layered with respect and adulation.
Stana exudes sexiness like we never thought possible. she even possesses a great sense of humor that sends people in stitches and leaves a vibrant smile on people’s faces, spite of quirkiness and occassional dorkiness, she is taken seriously coz that’s just how awesome she is.

she has a good heart and a perfect balance of wit, charm, talent, integrity and toughness easily putting her as a female hero among the female of the species. She is what any man would want to bring home to mama. everything about her, as Jordan Shaw says, is tailormade for a woman’s psychoses.
Stana inadvertantly started a feminist movement. she is by all means a very credible female hero that women everywhere would want to be like.

this is my account on the connection I formed with the personality that is Stana Katic. let me know your thoughts Stanatics.

PS; I wanna be Stana Katic!!!

When i had the time…

when little girls scribbled hearts and stars, i painted trees and sky.

while teen girls blushed with fresh flowers, i dried and preserved them

when the papers have been read, i mashed and gave it new life.

while they used their pens writing love and hate notes, i sketched landscapes

while they spend on lipsticks and things, i spent for brushes and paint.

while they work their eye shadow and maskara, i studied shadows and light.

while they got rid of oil on their faces, i used oil and tried to paint faces.

while they wished for the universe to connive with their wishes, i drew the stars and the cosmic sky.

All of this when i had the time….it’s not much but its mine

Fine Fine Pine!

I’ve been killing myself for the past months and I’m aching for a break from the chains. Like what i always do, I hop a bus to Baguio, tag a friend and wake up to the cool breeze. The long drive doesn’t count anymore, although the bus had 3 stops making the ride complete 8 hours of butt breaking travel.

The city though now pestered with tons of public vehicles and annoying vendors still does me good in more ways than I know of. It has been my tradition to visit Cafe by the Ruins and scribble my thoughts on paper as I gulp fresh brewed coffee, this time is different since it was our first stop. It’s also Ed’s first time in Baguio so I showed him the best place I know.

I ordered for Carbonara and he had meatball spaghetti. More often than not, I order for dishes I cant prepare myself, its a different story with Ruins, coz this is the origin of my love for white sauce pasta. But I must admit it tasted 10x better about 10 years or more ago. We also had the famous kamote bread with liver pate, simply mouth watering.

I’ve been going to Baguio since I was a pea but have never been to Tam Awan Village, the garden in the sky. its not much but its always refreshing to be able to visit places you know existed but have not been able to go to. I enjoyed having organic soya coffee at Arko ni Apo just across the main village gate, there,Ed bumped into friends whom we met later that night at Nevada.

taking photos of paintings are prohibited, but the sign was mounted somewhere people don’t normally look at when coming in. I already took this pic before I knew, my bad.

From the village, we headed for an early dinner at one of my new Baguio routines–Pizza Volante. for a moment there, i thought i was gonna get sick after biting into fresh onions on the chili con carne pizza we ordered for. The dining experience was great as usual and food is A ok!

No fratboy chasing us this time, that makes it even better.

We harked back to our room to freshen up and get ready to party, Its a saturday night and we’re on vacay, what else can you do? Gettin ready, Ed and I got crazy we put on a show on ourselves and played halloween puttin on black lipstick and fake stitches.

I must have ended drunk and tired of prancing that night, i wasn’t able to snap at least one photo. Drinking beer in such cool weather is heaven. We started off with a few bottles in that bar I cant remember the name of and met with the cool couple Eon and Jayce down at Fridays.

Meeting Eon is like going into a ball of strings, he’s an acquaintance of Ed, a blogmate of Martin, a schoolmate in college and im pretty sure there’s one more that i cant remember.

Sunday morning found me so uneager to get up from late night of alcohol and long walk from Nevada to session road. Lunch was penned at 12nn at Little John’s in Camp John Hay, which due to the growing population of Koreans in Baguio has been appropriately renamed Kim Jung Hei. We got there on time and waited a while for the couple, waited to be seated only to find out the baby back ribs I have dreamt of is no more! damn!

Finally, at the Manor, it suddenly seemed like a lazy Sunday when you feel like sitting around sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes, having an intellectual conversation while looking at vast greens and old couples reading books together by a fountain. It sure is a picture of the sweet life. For that one day, that very moment–that was my idea of slowing down and being good to myself sans the cigarettes. I knew I was ready to go back to reality. I knew i have to travel down south to see my family, however chaotic it may be.
